Beginners' courses Golf
At Öijared Resort we offer beginner courses for children, young people and adults.
Juniors under 15 years
If you are under 15 years old, we recommend that you join the golf club's junior training program. There you train together with children of the same age. Read more about our junior trainings.
Others
For those aged 15 and over, there are beginners' courses in groups, during March-September. For those who also want to become a member, we offer a starter membership that includes a beginner's course, sponsor rounds with game tests and unlimited play on The Multi-Sport Course and Parkbanan throughout the season. Read more below under Starter Membership.
Our beginner courses consist of a practical part (2×3,5 h) and a theory part (3 h) and cost 2 095 SEK/person. The price includes video material on basic strokes, online theory, practice and balls during the practical course sessions. You can also borrow equipment during these course sessions and when you are at Öijared and training, about a month in connection with your completed course.
The practical courses are administered and carried out by Öijared Golf Academy, see course sessions and registration links below. You can choose between the so-called Intensive course, or divide it into 2 practical sessions. In the latter case, you sign up for optional Pass 1 and Pass 2. (They should go in that order.)
The theory part is held by our volunteers in the golf club and is offered about twice a month during the season April-September. You will find dates for the theory course and the opportunity to sign up HERE!
We highly recommend that you try to take the theory course before the practical part.
Theory course 2025
In addition to passing the game test and theory test, this theory course is mandatory for everyone born in 2012 or earlier, before approval of the Green Card is made with us at Öijared. It is included in our Beginner courses to complete this course.

Entry-level courses in 2025
Content: Training on the basics, interspersed with practical theory.
Number: 2 courses of 3.5 hours + 1 theory session (3 hours) with separate registration
Price: SEK 2 095/person.
We recommend that you try to take the theory course before your first practical session.

Beginner course - Intensive 2025
Intensive has the same price and content as the practical courses divided into Pass 1 & 2, but takes place intensively over 2 days; 9-12. 30 both days.
This is suitable for those who may have already played a little, attended a beginner's course before but never got started properly, or for those who want to get started quickly.

Introductory membership with course
For those who are brand new and want to take a course at Öijared, there is an Introkukiont membership, where the course is included in the price, for only SEK 2,995.
Then you have unlimited play during the calendar year on The Multi-Sport Course, our short hole course, as well as the opportunity to play 2 occasions in our member-led Fadder activities on Tuesdays and Sundays. If you want to upgrade to Starter Membership during the year, when you feel ready, contact the reception and pay the difference between these 2 memberships. Starter membership with courses
For those who are completely new and want to take a course at Öijared, there is a Starter Membership, where the course is included in the price, for only SEK 4,995 for the whole year. From August 1, the price is SEK 4 085 until December 31.
Then you have unlimited play during the calendar year on The Multi-Sport Course and the Park Course, as well as the opportunity to join our member-led Fadder activities on Tuesdays and Sundays.
Sponsorship rounds
Together with volunteer sponsors, and other new golfers in the club, you play 9 holes on one of our courses, and get to learn the game in a pleasant way. It is also during such a round, that you do your so-called game test. You can also do it with a private sponsor, during other times, if you already know someone in the club who is an experienced golfer, preferably with handicap 36 or better.
Green card
Regardless of which course you choose, a lot of self-training is required in addition to the course sessions, in order to become a golfer and take the so-called Green Card.
To obtain a Green Card, you need to pass a theoretical part and a practical part, and be an active member of a golf club. It is the club you are a member of that activates your green card. However, you do not need to be a member of a club to take a beginners' course or start your theory part. It is also mandatory to attend a 3-hour theory course at Öijared for everyone who turns 15 or more this year. You can find alternative dates HERE.
At Öijared Resort, we follow the Swedish Golf Association's recommendations regarding the Green Card, and depending on age, there are different tests to be done regarding theory and practice.
