The Multi-Sport Course
In the summer of 2019, our new multi-sport course was ready to welcome everyone who wants to play footgolf, frisbee golf and/or golf from 30, 50 or 100 meters.
The initiative to build The Multi-Sport Course comes from Öijared Golf Club and the project has been carried out together with the Swedish Inheritance Fund but also had other co-financiers including Alingsås Sparbank, the Swedish Sports Confederation and the Swedish Golf Federation.

The Multi-Sport Course was inaugurated on June 9, 2019. Thanks to electric lighting, the course is available all year round for footgolf and frisbee golf. At The Multi-Sport Course , we also run the business Golfäventyret. The combination of Footgolf and Golfäventyret is something that the Swedish Golf Association also describes as extremely successful.

Footgolf
What all types of Footgolf have in common is that it is a sport that is suitable for everyone - young children and older youngsters - with no prior knowledge required. The rules are simple and no special equipment is required for the player other than a soccer ball (approved competition ball in size 5) which is available to borrow at the facility.
Rules for footgolf
- The ball is played from where it lies.
- The ball shall be stationary when struck.
- You can kick the ball either by putting your foot next to it and "digging it up" or in the usual way, instep, toe kick or broadside.
- When you are close to the holes, it can be good to "sole the ball", i.e. putt with the underside of the sole of the shoe to get over-screw and thus straighter ball roll.
- If you don't want to play the ball where it is, you can move it within three meters (but not closer to the hole) and place it in a suitable place against a kind of duty. 6 meters against two duty, etc.
- If the ball gets stuck in a bush or tree, you have to shake the ball down and place it within three meters against a kind of duty.
- You may remove the flag marking the hole if you think you have better odds that way.
- The order of play at the kick-off point is determined by the best result on the previous course.
- The order of play after everyone has kicked out is determined by which ball is furthest from the hole.
- It is absolutely forbidden to destroy bushes, trees and branches to improve the position of the ball.
Tips for a pleasant and injury-free round
- All bets must be linked to a booked start time
- Loose shoes are recommended, however, soccer shoes are not allowed in consideration of the golf greens.
- Warm up with some ball tricks and games.
- Go for it when you kick, you usually earn many kicks on tactics and control.
- Gambling is at your own risk and it should be fun.
